Title: Getting more Chip ram
Post by: bradhansen1 on November 13, 2021, 03:39:40 PM
Hi All,

I know there is a way to get all your Chip Ram back after you load your Workbench,
I think. I am running a TF1230 on OS 3.2. If someone could explain how you can
move some stuff to ram when you load Workbench or how FBlit works that would
be much appreciated.

You'll never get all your chip ram back, as some drivers and structures rely on it.
The biggest impact would a RTG graphics card do, or reducing the Workbench screen size and colours.

That was the topic of one of my streams some time ago, which you can find it at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DzRSN2jXg0k. In this video, you will see how you can reduce chip ram usage without using any patches.
