on the pc where the voodoos is the bottle neck of a modern system, the voodoo3 is faster then a Voodoo4 and voodoo5 in single gpu mode (although you can overclock the v4/v5 for sure to give the neccessary boost to overtake
On miggy though while I get exact same fps from both voodoo3 and voodoo5, the v5 does somehow display those frames much smoother, it almost matches the speed of the bvision.
lack of any real 2d acceleration in p96 makes the voodoo on mediator abit of a chore compared to cgxv4 and bvision. :|
Voodoo is abit annoying as v3 doesnt support 15bit modes (fair few things seem to use them - especially w3d amigaamp plugins) and voodoo5 doesnt work in bigendian modes (bad colours - cant play wo2097). Bvision is best solution as it supports both and is a fair bit faster too :| I really would like to try the voodoos on a grex oneday and compare the speeds, as CGFXv4 does support 2d acceleration and the lack of zorro-ii bottle neck should allow ppc/W3d run at the processors max speed.
