Well, what version of OS X are you running? I'd try to run at LEAST 10.3.9. Do a clean install so all drivers are there. After that, i'd look in system prefs and then network, and see if an entry is made for the wifi card... other than that I would sent it back, if it wasnt working.

You did go into the network pane, right? You should see at least ethernet. Download the airport installer. Maybe this will do it..
