To join the segments you only need to make an AmigaDOS script that calls the player for each segment one after the other.  The downside is each segment will pause during the loading but the upside is that it won't need as much RAM.

There is a plug-in for MovieSetter in Hollywood as well but that's not relevant.  Scala isn't necessary either.  DeluxePaint4 can render Anim5 independently of either of them.  The hard part to replace in MovieSetter is the audio handling.  There are utilities that add audio to anims as well as CDXL streaming.  Most require a 68020 to work though so just keep using MovieSetter for now.
