I dont know your amiga configuration. But if you like me is stuck (happily stuck of course :-) ) with an bog standard a1200, you should consider UAE. On a decent pc you'll get quite nice speeds.
If you still want to transfer files from pc -> amiga you could use a parallel cable and the program pc2amiga (or similar) these work quite nice for me
