I attended the 2021 show. It was a good show. A lot of focus on the 8 bit line.
Well, we strive to be 50% 8-bit and 50% Amiga in exhibits and in the presentations.  Of course, our mileage may vary.  ;)

...at the CLASS 2021 there one guy who hauled in a bunch of Amiga emulators and was also demo'ing a PiStorm in his A2000.
That must have been the late Matt Brewster.  We will miss his comradeship and the knowledge he shared with us.

With this much heads up, I plan to show up for CLASS 2023.
Thanks!  Spread the CLASS news to your friends.

Thanks for all of your work Robert!

Greetings, C= and Ami aficionados!

Less than 2 weeks to the April 15-16 Commodore Los Angeles Super Show 2023! We shift into high gear as the time crunch is on! A video presentation and a CLASS commercial to edit. Monitors and computers and associated hardware to gather. Sales items and raffle prizes to prep. Gotta make sure the station wagon is ready for the long trip.

Tell your friends and relatives about CLASS! We want to have a really successful show, and we have a fantastic line-up of presentations and hands-on exhibits to satisfy everybody.

Go to http://www.portcommodore.com/class for more information. We might have a last-minute exhibit or presenter coming in! Who knows?! :)

Truly,
Robert Bernardo

Hurrah! The show was a big success!  Thank you to all those who came from around California and from Nevada and Arizona!  Tentatively, the CLASS of 2024 is set for April 13-14!  And with more hours in the show for more Commodore and Amiga goodness!

Photos and videos to come soon,

Just curious, have the winners fired up their C64 system (C64+monitor+1541) or the C128 (C128+1571+1902) raffle prizes?
Unknown.  They haven't contacted me.

* any sales presentation, limit it to 15-20mins - mind you I am 'for' a sales presentation, I'm behind people that are building something for the retro community, but an hour long is too long
What do you consider a sales presentation?  FYI, I know of no show that puts time limits on the presenters.  In other words, no minimum times... no maximum times.
Quote
* do presenters feel pressured to fill an hour?
See the above answer.  BTW, many of the CLASS presentations are way below an hour in length.

* did the note taking person record how many tickets were sold for each raffle item?
Note-taking person?  If you mean Debbie, she was in charge of gathering admissions and raffle/sales monies.  She recorded the monies but not necessarily the number of tickets.

T-Mobile is starting to offer a 5G Internet service, in theory we could use that next time so live streaming and dedicated bandwidth are addressed, this is me taking for granted someone would already have the service and we could borrow the hardware for the show
Marc Rifkin is basically in charge of how we connect to the outside, so he would be the one to contact.

...a dedicated website for the event would be nice, something that would allow people to chat (pre+during+post show)/list items for sale/quick pic uploads/a rough running commentary/etc...
That is the CommVEx/CLASS forum area at www.commodore.ca/forum

...make sure to ask for a discount on the space next year...
Already done.

All in all a really good show. I counted 25 people there on Saturday. Less on Sunday.
In total, we had many more than 25.

I'm a happy Amiga 1010 raffle winner. Using the C128 for ChatGPT was my personal favorite part of the show.
That is good to hear.

I will bring up your thoughts at the next FCUG and SCCAN meetings.  Any changes to how the show is run is up to their consensus.  If you have other thoughts, please message me privately.

Sincerely,
Robert Bernardo
