Hi Peps,
Well I've finally got my 060 on the network and running thought my gateway pc and out onto the internet on my cabled broadband (feeling pretty smug with myself now).
What I would like to ask you all is what web browser do you reckon is the best?
Alby.

You only really seem to have one option and that is IBrowse, which isn't exactly good, so your pretty much stuck to be honest.
-
Ibrowse v2.3, its the best option available right now.
-
How can you say Ibrowse isnt good? I am using it right now to post on here. Sure it doesnt do fancy flash animations and stuff, but you can get external viewers for that. Its an outstanding browser and works well. Its bar far the best choice on Amiga.

I suppose it depends on what system you're running...on my 68k
machine, I rocked IBrowse usually...but on the Pegasos, I've found
that over time, I almost exclusively fire up Voyager...In fact, and I
wouldn't have said this a few months ago, but Voyager is actually my
"preferred" amiga browser these days. I'm not sure what the status of
68k Voyager is, though (as I haven't used it in ages).
I'd say, check out the demos for both...and get which ever one
you like better. Then there's AWeb, that one is also getting
updated these days, from what I hear...and it's free now.
-
A-Web is free and open source, thus likely to be still updated now and then...
Becouse it's free, it's definitely worth a try...
There are both MorphOS and AmigaOS versions available.
There are demo versions of other browsers, but at least iBrowse demo is (imho) a bit too restricted to give good idea, how the full version works...
-
I use all of them.
AWeb is now free, and does a good job for most sites. I registered AWeb in the AmiTrix days, and since it's open-source, you have the opportunity to give back to it.
I registered Voyager through the various NetConnect packages over the years, but I think it is no longer available in that format. Still, it's a really nice browser with some supported features just not found in IBrowse and AWeb.
IBrowse. I registered it, I use it. I'm posting with it now. It doesn't support as many layout tags as Voyager, but has much of the basic features that have dissappeared from Voyager.
To sum it all up, it's not which browser you get, but what order you get them in!
-
Well it looks like its pretty much one of the three then.
I think AWeb as it's free must be a good contender.

I didn't say it wasn't the best choice on the Amiga, because I think it IS the best choice. My point was that it is a VERY incompatible browser and lacks behind even IE5 in terms of support.
