OpenBSD is certainly the best distro (robust and secure). Anyway to play at home, Debian is cool and can support USB ECI modems (mine works well / Hifocus) with an external french package (
http://eciadsl.flashtux.org/support.php).
Mandrake...oops, excellent but the compagny drops (support ??).
