Noob question about Icaros Desktop
« on: May 07, 2010, 10:32:08 PM »
I am currently running Icaros Desktop 1.2.07 through VMWare Fusion on the Mac.

I am trying to install the very latest version of OWB on it.

I've managed to extract the .lha file correctly to disk, easy part done.  Now I am faced with several programs Install AISS, Install Daca, Install OS4, owb, OWBLauncher and Readme.

When I click any of these files including the readme the Execute window opens and I click okay and it either crashes the system or reports the file isn't executable.

Is this because AROS doesn't run OS4 programs or something?  Any ideas! :roflmao:

That's right, Aros doesn't run OS4 programs, it runs Aros programs. You will need to download the latest version of OWB for Aros, which is more advanced and offers more features than the OS4 version does currently anyway.

To run OS4 programs you will need a PPC Amiga, AmigaOne, Pegasos II, Sam440/460, or X1000.
