You can almost feel the strain looking at the photo, plastic cracking, components being snapped in half by the shear girth of that massive monitor bearing down on its smaller being ...

I had that Monitor on the A1000 for a couple of years and eventually noticed some problems getting the keyboard in and out.  I think it was actually beginning to warp so I moved it.

I needed a new monitor stand of course and oddly enough found a Mac Performa 630 on the way home from the pub one night - no idea if it works or not but I can now say I have a 68040 powered monitor stand :-)

Man, look at how that heavy monitor is warping that A1000 !!!  :-o

Err ... or, it could just be the common warping that happens to these machines over time.

Looks to me like someone stuck a PM6100 board in an A1000! LOL!

What I find funny though is nobody has noticed the A1000 cannot drive a modern monitor like that one.

Could've been an IBook MoBo fitted in an A1000 case. There are PCs available in A1000 cases from some site I can't remember now...

Aren't there some hacks out there to stick an A1200 mobo in a 1000?  Of course, a 1000 with deinterlacer, accelerator, 3.9, etc., could look like this picture...  Ah, if only I had the money (and hadn't spray painted my A1000 hideous black!)  :-o

That's not a hack but . . . a joke

 ;-)

Mouse:
sorry I don't have the right mouse, thats just the one I got with it.  I had an A1000 many years ago so I know what the original mouse plug was like  :-)

As for the iBook it's to the left just out of shot :-D

What I find funny though is nobody has noticed the A1000 cannot drive a modern monitor like that one.

All my other A1000 pics / screenshots are actually going through a PC.

Isn't anyone going to mention the wrong mouse, or rather wrong mouse plug?

I don't know, Amigans...  :-D
