The M-Tec 1230 does only take 8M or 4M simms for as far as I can recall. It is a good accelerator if you are not too power hungry.

Not being PCMCIA friendly means your fastram must fit in the Zorro-II range which is 8MB. Unfortunately the PCMCIA also resides there. It takes 4MB from that range. To put it simple; you have to choose between 4MB + PCMCIA or 8MB
