Monkey magic!
« on: September 18, 2011, 07:49:00 PM »
From the Blitz Basic team:

Quote
Monkey is a brand spanking new programming language that allows you to create apps on multiple platforms with the greatest of ease.

Monkey  works by translating Monkey code to one of a different number of  languages at compile time - including C++, C#, Java, Javascript and  Actionscript.

Monkey  games can then be run on potentially hundreds of different devices -  including mobile phones, tablets, desktop computers and even videogame  consoles.

Monkey  saves you time and allows you to target your apps at multiple markets  and app stores at once, potentially mutiplying sales several times over.

So what are you waiting for? Get started with Monkey!

Curious!
Earth has a lot of things other folks might want... like the whole planet. And maybe these folks would like a few changes made, like more carbon dioxide in the atmosphere and room for their way of life. - William S. Burroughs

But it hasn't one Amiga version, or option of compilation for Amiga!
Amiga 500 with ROMs 1.3-2.05 and M-Tec AT 500 with hard disk and 4MB Ram.
WinUAE + Original OS 3.5&3.9
Sam440ep 800 MHZ + OS 4.1 F.E.
Sam460ex 1 GHz + OS 4.1 + Update 6. K.O.
MacMini 1.5 GHz + MorphOS 3.9
PowerBook G4 1.65 + MorphOS 3.9

So?
Sometimes we forget what this and other forums are about Amiga, and with the best intention we speak about other programming languages or OS, but if I read the post is with the hope to find other Amiga programs, games, programming languages with the intention to help and support to their creators, not to speak to help to other systems on Windos, Mac or Linux.

This is the "Alternative Operating Systems" forum, not an Amiga forum.

edit: It would probably be useful to those wanting to port their old Blitz Basic code to new platforms too.

"to" is preposition that is two characters long, use it. It won't slow you down, I promise.

Here here, yes an Amiga & Haiku port is in order.

Well both of them can compile C++  and have Webkit based browsers that can run Javascript code.
