I'm sure the several thousands of active Blackberry Playbook users are waiting with baited breath for more retro titles  :)  It's seriously an abhorrent tablet to use compared to even the cheapest Android tablets.

The local telco up here bought a ton of these and virtually couldn't give the damned things away.  Sad really, because the hardware *is* nice, even the OS is usable, but it was rushed and just sucked too bad at launch.

For awhile there you were even required a BB phone just to link to the Playbook to check email, it's absolutely insane they shipped a product that rushed.  Everyone I know that picked them up when they were being sold for $100 up here has the things sitting on a shelf collecting dust.

Hmm.  Retro games on smart phones. That'll never take off.

Are Team 17 aware of this port of their game?

I was confused reading the article.

How can he release 1500 games none of which belong to his company?

Amiga never made games only hardware (I think).

I cannot imagine that he can publish 1500 games legal. I tried to get approval for my distribution to include some of the known games. In many cases the software companies do not exist anymore (ceased to exist or bought by another company). And even if I found a company the answer was "No" or "we look at it" and no answer. Even if he is willing to pay something for using the games I doubt that he will get the permission for 1500 games (and for a commercial project he needs approval). For me it sounds like Marketing phrases (we are the biggest, best, the future is for us...) or he just includes the games without permission and waits if he gets sued by someone. When he chooses the second then good luck...

Lulz. I bet he's avoiding us and the rest of the Amiga sites, like the plague!
