A500 16 colour screenshot - YAM and colourfonts
Previous Image | Next Image
Description: The point of this screenshot is to show what can be done with colourfonts. Usually you're limited by what background you can pick because if it's too dark you can't see the black text and if it's too light you can't see the white text (why does MUI use "shine" instead of "highlight"??). So I made a white font with black outline and black font with white outline (using ColorType). Now I can pick whatever background I want and text will still be readable. Colourfonts are slightly slower than regular fonts, but in an email program it's not much of a problem. This screenshot was taken on my Amiga 500, 16 colour NTSC highres-laced, 660x436, WB 3.1. You should make an AmigaSYS/AmigaKit type of thing for OCS users so their interfaces could look lik yours. |

Thanks, McVenco. :-) Unfortunately, I never will lay my hands on an A1200. I ordered one from Amigakit last year, NOS with accelerator and USB and wireless ethernet - all ordered online, ready for final confirmation. Amigakit just delayed and delayed and delayed and repeatedly didn't do what he said he'd do. I haven't gotten any response for about 5 months. So now I'm sick of the whole thing and don't even feel like getting an A1200 now. That's the main reason I haven't logged onto any Amiga sites for the last 3 months. |

'course it ate Chip RAM like Homer at an all-you-can-eat night, and the interlace was horrendous, but it did it... I went down to a quite pleasant 800x600 after that. |
cpfuture Posts:246 | March 05, 2007, 01:21:32 PM Very impressive! A500 rules! :-D |
stopthegop Posts:831 | March 04, 2007, 12:14:42 PM Mr_A500: I think your screenshots are amazing. If Commodore had hired you as a designer perhaps things would have turned out differently. Great work, man. |
