I am really impressed! Cheers to everyone involved!
-
I'm gonna try this on my laptop asap! Thanks!

on virtualbox 3.0.12 it seems to reboot just after the amiga mouse pointer appears at least on my system.

Have you used the VE version, or have you installed live/light on a new virtual machine? in this latter case, please set up a better virtual machine (eide drive, 256 MB ram minimum, single core processor, pcnet II card, etcetera).
-
I would love to see an easy installer for this. I like the live version a lot, but its just a pain to get it to install as a stand alone system. Or maybe I am missing something?

Maybe you are missing /Tools/InstallAROS ?

- Grub2 hack to use netbook resolutions on Intel GMA900 GPUs
Does it means it runs on Netbooks like the EEE ??

I used the VE version and imported the virtual config file/disk into virtualbox.

Why not? It is PC hardware after all, so the same rules more or less apply here. Of course you have to be lucky to find a model with full hardware support (especially audio and LAN). Not sure if anybody made a successful install on the EEE especially, but have a look at this:

Can you install it from the DVD?

@persia
Boot DVD.
Got go and click InstallAros under Tools. (AROS:Tools)
-
To install Aros on your PC, it's best to use your current OS to free some space on your hard drive for a new partition. This should be at least 4GB of unpartitioned space. When you use the InstallAros tool, it will use this unpartitioned space to format its own SFS AROS: and Work: partitions, then it will reboot the PC, and clicking on the InstallAros tool the next boot will allow you to install Icaros onto your new partitions.
Once its installed, your PC will have the GRUB menu installed which will pop up when you boot up, allowing you to choose between your installed operating systems.
