32bit icons in AmigaOS
Previous Image | Next Image
Description: Since PowerIcons is out and also AmigaOS v3.9 is allowed to use PNG icons. I took some elements from someone here and added PowerIcons to it all.

It seems like my Amiga is a bit faster with PowerIcons installed. And thats on my 68060 cpu. I cant use the MorphOS version at all :( its a bad, bad, bad thing.. Well.. 32bit icons on AmigaOS.. what a seXy look it got now for sure :)

Michal, www.amigaworld.org

I always think of Windows when I see such colourful icons. It's stupid I know, but sometimes in my mind the Amiga's look is defined by MagicWB's efficient use of 8 colours, back  in the day when the only alternative was NewIcons. NewIcons was a bit too Windowsy for my tastes and unfortunately that impression seems to have stuck.

MorphOS has 32bit PNG icons by default, there
is no "MOS version" as they all work on MOS
without changes. :)
