News from ASiegel via MorphZone

Rupert "naTmeg" Hausberger has published drivers for Promise SATA II 150/300-series PCI-adapters. The minimum requirements are MorphOS 1.x or higher so users running old MorphOS set ups can utilitze them as well.

Features:
Up to 2 adapters
ATA/ATAPI support
UDMA/PIO support
ATA SCSI-emulation
ATAPI disk-change handler
EXEC/TD/TD64/SCSI commands
64-bit support (drives > 2TB)
S.M.A.R.T. support
Support for query.library (HDConfig/Mounter)

Great news.
It a shame no one has created a driver for the Sonnet PCI-X controller I have (SATAII but Marvell based).
