I know what you mean, but my printed commercial Dopus manual is 'lost', packed up somewhere in a stack of boxes from my last move. When I 'lose' the digital one, I just download a new one
So you also would like to have a harddrive full of E-books rather than a (few) cupboard(s) filled with books?
Some people find it worthwile to have actual printed stuff, rather than reading through some digital manual. I have some books on Amiga programming, as well as digital documents, but nothing beats a little post-it note stuck to a few pages when you're browsing back and forth through a paper manual. Try scrolling or pressing PgDn/PgUp against that for speed.
Finally, it's better for your eyes to read from paper than from a computer screen...
