Tried all the slots and no go...sometimes I can boot system but my A4000 (if I remove my X-Surf100) but system still doesn't see card...usually system just doesn't want to boot at all with card installed. Don't see any jumpers all on card ?

Does it show up to early startup menu?
Generally all weird problems has been PSU related.

@ ultri007
nope nothing at all. PSU voltages look good so it's not that and my system doesn't have a few loud and screaming power hungry SCSI HD's anymore so the only big ger sized draw it has nowadays it the CD rom
btw, Elbox got back to my support question with trying to clean the gold connectors which is a valid point but I already scrubbed those down and they're cleaner than clean.

update: as per Elbox instructions tried removing all other Zorro cards and just having the FastaATA4000 and still nothing at all so it looks like some chip or whatever on board was bad right from factory.....sad because I waited so long for this card to get to me during these crazy pandemic times...must admit that Elbox support has been good though

Have never played with one, but maybe the card needs a firmware flash?
Don't even know if that's an option.
-
One other thing - you sure you connected it the right way around?
The firmware looks like it was put in an EPROM.
-
yup …sent hi-res picks to Elbox and just waiting to here their response…they said they test each unit at each PIO level before shipping out every card so they doubt it could be a chip issue etc.

can someone please confirm that they have a FastaATA4000 MKVII card working in their A4000 with OS3.2 roms installed.
