I had so much fun at the event, even though it was a little difficult to communicate, and I'm so glad I met lots of you guys from the forums, IRC and Facebook!

Wow, I had no idea you came all that way, much like myself. Nice to see that there were other Australians representing at Amiga 30th.

So I manage to attend what I feel might be the last big Amiga show, if it was then we went out on a high, it was great to just walk around the show seeing and hearing voices you recognise from Amiga past and to see so many of the early prototype that have survived all this time is amazing.  Thank you to all the people involved making this show happen and thank you to so many of the original Amiga guys attending.

Also win a copy of Amiga Forever & C64 Forever 30th Anniversary edition, just comment on the youtube vid for your chance to win, I will pick a winner on Friday. thanks

Bah, no YouTube account.  Ah, well, I got mine at the show :)

I would like to think we'll have a 40th and 50th, at least.

"How do you know I’m mad?" said Alice.
"You must be," said the Cat, "or you wouldn’t have come here."

@Pyromania

you'd have to ask one of the organizers, so i'd recommend you PM tekmage. but i believe ticket purchases were greater than 400 people.

From what I heard, ticket sales were in the 250's right up until a few days before the event, then it got a bunch of media attention and ticket sales went through the roof right before it started.  Well over 400.

This is just anecdotal, I have no idea the real number.  As an attendee, it was kind of a "madhouse" the first morning.  A fun madhouse, however!  :)

Not quite the full costume, I'm afraid... I absent-mindedly left the gauntlets and badge behind but I'm flattered you noticed me in there. :P

I am honored that you had a look at my X-1000 at the A-eon table.  Here's hoping that you might get a similar setup to do your gaming projects on.

Because I was rushing for another trip soon after my California Amiga trip, I initially uploaded most of my Mountain View photos without any captions. Thanks to Paul Sadlik for helping me place or confirm a lot of IDs of attendees and VIPs. Now I have re-uploaded my Amiga30 photo gallery with captions. If anyone spots an ommission or a mistake, just send me a PM and I will make the addition or correction. Thanks!

There was something about what RJ said that finally made the cogwheels align that made me see it clearly:
The Amiga was actually the first - and possibly last? - Rock'n'roll computer. The people are remembered, the machines are remembered, the software is remembered, and the legend will live on after the rest of us have been powered off and the red light has faded.

If I had known BOTH you and David were going to be there...
Oh well, glad to see you leaving us a few comments.

Seriously?
I was contemplating crossing the entire continent to attend this show.
You couldn't travel from SoCal?
