Good Amiga books available?
« on: June 30, 2019, 06:26:38 PM »
What are the Amiga OS books to have? I am mainly thinking about covering at least 3.1 and perhaps slightly beyond. Physical books, e-books and PDFs are of interest.

So far I collected the NDKs, RKMs and some DevCon papers, but I do not seem to have the DevCon floppies anymore. There are probably some good third party books I am not familiar with.

My main interest is to understand the OS, APIs and programming practises, mainly C. Some book about in depth understanding of Amiga hardware programming techniques can also be fun.

I'll be reading The Lightwave Power Guide (Published by New Riders) and Blitz Basic Programming Base by Adam Zalepa this Christmas ;-) I'm not so interested with the OS but the killer apps that were released for the system. I would be great to make a game like Super Skidmarks with the old software!
