The number of useless replies will dramatically go up. :)

FTFY

I know Franko had a following, and good for him.  While he had some useful posts in the beginning of his membership, the noise he injected into the signal here was overly obnoxious.  I suppose things inevitably change as people who offer substance begin to drift, if not be driven, away, and if Amiga.org should devolve from a mostly useful forum to a Franko free-for-all then so be it, but it would be a sad day IMNSHO.

If someone gets banned can they never come back? or it is not so often they do/can that. If they want to, they could just use a different username.

Franko was alright with you if you were alright with him. And the thing with him is that he knows how to push someone's buttons if they start messing around with him. Simple formula is if you don't want to engage with him then simply don't bother.

I remember the final couple of threads that resulted in the ban. Both Franco and the other party were banned. However one was allowed back even though I felt they were far worse in the little arguments.

Quoted for truth.

I liked Franko because he was one of the few people around here who were completely unwilling to compromise their stance on what is and isn't "Amiga" for the sake of diplomacy or "keeping the name out there" and who demonstrated a real passion for the platform, rather than just hanging around perpetually carping about how it's not fast enough to play YouTube on. We could use more people like that.

The guy spammed this board with nearly 6000 posts in one year. In the latter half of his onslaught he invaded every godsdamn conversation and turned it into an off-topic mudslinging contest. He got insulting the second you disagreed with him (and no, I'm not referring to his "scottish humour" bull**** - search around for some of the things he said about Wayne) and after he was banned he openly admitted to trolling.

If somebody ever deserved to be banned and never mentioned again, it's that guy.

Isn't that kinda like saying "a land-mine is alright if you're alright with it?" Despite the fact the channel's full of them and they're magnetic?

This place is better off without him.

There is a difference. A landmine you can't reason with, Franko you can. To an extent anyway ;)

Does anyone know the name of the cartoon in that YouTube clip where the evil guy comes inside the house and pops the balloon man?
