I have some 100MHz crystals if you like to try one. I had no luck so far, mine just boot loops with no picture. But I haven't given up, going to try another PSU :-)

My CF Card died, I think it was my fastata that killed it so going back to a laptop HDD. Once I have that setup going to have to post some videos. :-)

Thank you soooo much for the email you send me :) I can hardly wait to set it up :)

Concerning the 100 Mhz crystals, no thanks I am happy with 80 Mhz. I believe running a 68060 @ 80 Mhz should be more than enough hopefully to get DOSBOX AGA at a decent and enjoyable speed...I am not greedy :D

No problem, post on here and let me (us) know how you get on. Will add my story too perhaps?

Once I get my HDD setup can start posting about it :-)

Guys, download this SpeedModule if you want to compare your 80Mhz Apollo setups with mine -> AmiNet

Less speed (apart from the HD) means you're probably not running the right patches.
Life begins at 100 MIPS!

Nice Ports on AmiNet!

The archive have only .dat file on it. There is no Amiga executable file at all. How do you execute it?

You need do download SysSpeed from Aminet of course, my file is only the data file module (basically a recording of how my card ran).

You can grab SysSpeed from AmiNet

I am also planning in the future to buy this for my A1200: http://www.220-electronics.com/sharp-lc22dc30m-22-multi-system-led-tv.html. This way I can have a complete multimedia system for my A1200 and put my 1084S in storage. I still do not have the heart to get rid off or sell the Commodore 1084S so I will keep it safe in storage when I buy that TV.

Your 1084S is massively better than that TV.

That TV cannot naturally display Amiga resolutions.  So it emulates them in software with an emulator.  And it distorts the picture.

The 1084S displays them naturally with hardware.

Your 1084S is also faster.  It can literally change any and all pixels on the screen from ANY color to ANY other color instantly.  LCD TVs cannot do that so you get weird blurriness sometimes, kindof like HAM fringing fx.

Remember that Sharp TV is just a plain old LCD TV with a proper LED backlight.  Its not magic or anything.

OH! Thanks for the info ChaosLord. In that case I will save my money, I love my 1084S a lot and it produces the best colors possible but the only problem I have with it is the size of the screen. It is small. So if I want to sit on the coach and put two hour movie to play on Amiga 1200, I cannot enjoy the movie as much as I would if the size is 25" or larger. Do you know what I mean? I just wish there was an alternative to that 1084s but bigger screen and produce the same quality as an 1084s.

Would highly recommend an Indivision, can't get over how good it looks on an LCD.

Big screen goodness.

But wouldn't Indivision still give that pixelated, doll colour, DOS quality verses PAL/NTSC signal on a 1084s monitor?

The Indivision is for plugging into a modern monitor. Everything looks crystal clear through them so long as you are not using the VGA or HDMI adapter.

What if I plug it into the VGA or HDMI port of the monitor itself without using an adapter, would the quality be the same as the 1084s but better yet maintain the same sweetness of 1084s images and colours?

I know exactly 10000% what you mean.

That is why I bought a 2nd monitor for watching movies.  It is a 61" DLP monitor.  It is also an LED monitor because it uses an LED lightsource.  But it does not use LCD technology.  Instead it has a special Digital Light Processor chip.

If u need a big monitor for watching movies then by all means get a BIG monitor (50"+) not some itsy bitsy teensy weensy 22" monitor.

The closest thing you can get is a ViewSonic Ultrabrite A90f+ 19" CRT monitor.  Its what I am typing on right now.  It uses advanced CRT technology so all your pixels change instantaneously and it uses hardware to change the size of the pixels so that it can display all those Amiga gfx modes. Of course it works with PAL and NTSC.   BUT it only accepts signals of 31.5Khz + so you need a FlickerFixer for your Amiga.  The only FlickerFixers I can recommend for A1200 are ScanMagic FlickerFixer Internal Version or ScanJuggler XAGA internal version.

@AmigaClassicRule

You can forget about the Indivision AGA.  The first version was ok AFAIK but it has not been made for years so you can forget about it.

The Indivision AGA Mark 2 came out but is very buggy and everybody complains about it a lot.

Indivision ECS is also great.  But that is NOT Indivision AGA.  Sometimes ppl forget that the quality of Product A has nothing to do with the quality of product B.

ScanMagic or ScanJuggler XAGA are your friends :)
