I actually really like the current logo type, I think it looks great. Actually I think the whole site looks really good.

If you're talking about Kitty: she is our mascot, not logo. If you're talking about the one that spells out "AROS" on the top of the page: it's not very usable outside the website since it is a "cut-out".

I'm not talking about the mascot but the logo itself (I did say "logo type"), I really like it (although the writing below is a bit messy)

Can't you just grab it?  I just did it right now to see what it looked like with PMView 2000 and it seems to be okay it it took me a less then a minute.
