Ah, I see. You were referring to GhostScript as running on the Amiga which it has been for years and is part of TurboPrint. As I understood it, Gimp-print was different than GS.
Actually it's an add on to ghostscript. Gutenprint is running as an ijs server in that pic. however the current version of ghostsript's built in ijs client is b0rked. So I need to fix it and once that's done it's a 100% working gutenprint port.
As of right now you can use the sample ijs client I included and print any pnm file to gutenprint(gimp-print) supported printers if you want to mess with the few 100 or so diff options in the command line.
