You can play Another World and Flashack, this engines was ported to os4 and morphos.

Sure, Im aware of RAW and Reminiscence (I ported both to AROS), but the 3do version of Another World is enhanced over the other versions.

Near as I can tell this is where I write something under the guise of being innocuous, but really its a pot shot at another persons/peoples choice of Amiga based systems. Unfortunately only I cant see how transparent and petty it makes me look.

3dO have fantastic games, rebel assault, wing commander, need for speed, G-rex... but this emulator is brute force cpu and is designed for x86 high end cpu´s.
The best another world is the 15th anniversay, the game was reworked 100% with the original amiga spirit but is not available for amiga and compatibles only on PeCe :(

From what I understand, this machine was designed by a bunch of the same guys who designed the Amiga

Which is why I'd find it much more interesting if it were the 3D0 Operating System that were going Open Source - I don't much care about their hardware.

I would love to see AROS take on an emulate and integrate stance.  The UAE integration is going well.  Wouldn't it be cool if we could launch 3DO apps as if they were AROS apps, and have them run like they were native?  How about being able to do the same with C64 apps, or SNES, or any other system.

Speaking of Another World aka Out of this World, I wonder why no one ever seems to bring up Heart of the Alien and the fact that there is an Open Source Redux of it out on the web?

http://hota.sourceforge.net/

This was ported to BeOS, but sadly I've not yet been able to get it to run under Haiku. It would be great to see it on Amiga OS 4, MorphOS, AROS and the like...
