Hi Thomas,
I've entered the following values:
In Miami:
interface type Sana II Ethernet
IP statice 192.168.0.3
Netmask static 255.255.255.0
Gateway static 192.168.0.2 (I didn't exactly know what to enter here, so I've entered the IP of the PC)
When I use Miamiping and enter the IP of the Amiga I get a correct respons. When I pinr the IP of my PC I get the message "wrote 192.168.0.2 64 chars, ret=-1".
On the PC is Xp service pack 2 installed. I have 1 ethernetcard onboard (and a wireless pcicard). I connect the PC and Amiga with a crosses ethernetcable. When I ping 192.168.0.3 form the PC I get a timeout and no response.
When I start Aexplorer on the Amiga it opens a TCP/IP connection. When I start Aexplorer on the PC I get the message "TCP/IP socket not found".
Any idea what I'm doing wrong? i thougt ethernet wpuld be an easy way to connect teh PC and Amiga, but I'm getting a little desperate now...
I'm even thinking about buying a cdrom player to use for transfering files instead of TCP/IP.
