Q: Are there any plans to develop AmigaOS so it can cater for multiple users and/or services (homedirs/profiles?  filesystem ACLs?) in the long or short term?

Q: Will AmigaOS 4.0 come with process management tools (eg. to kill a process off) for users?

1. Will OS4 have any power saving features, eg. screenblanker able to put the monitor into powersave mode etc?

2. I was recently alerted to the fact Napalm does not use AHI, do you know whether this will work on an AmigaOne with OS4?

If Amiga Inc fails to make good on the A1/OS4 coupons, will Hyperion and Eyetech make good on them instead?

Question 1: what you have demonstrated looks like (to me at least) OS 3.9 and a couple add ons(I know we can get technical, but bottom line is it wasnt running on an AmigaOne and it wasnt ALL running on the PPC accel from what I was able to gleam), when will a tangible OS4 beta be out?

tangible? I mean running on AmigaOne with zero-custom hardware and no 68K...

Question 2: (this has been asked to death but I'd certinly like to hear an answer direct from you)

You(maybe not YOU Ben but people on the Amiga.inc side of things)  claim the purpose of AmigaOne's dongle/rom/whatever you want to call it is to ensure 'quality' standerds and such???... bieng that AmigaOne is only a motherboard and OS how do you make sure every single computer derived from this and sold by a third party  meets the extremely high-standerds of Hyperion ???

do you have field testers?, rigorous VAR school/etc?, secret in-company quality checkers?.. how do you do it...

Q. How do you expect to make any money on OS4 when Amiga Inc have already promised 3000+ free copies to party pack owners (the party pack including coupon can still be bought on ebay for <$10), and 1180 $50 discounts for club members, and free copies for anyone who has bought an A1?

Nice, Meerschaum, a slam wrapped around a question.

Anyway, Ben, what about Firewire support?

ben,

what kind of marketting will be done for the amigaOne and OS4 that will bring major developers to the platform.  Will there be any mainstream business/productivity software that will be there be, if any?

I guess the most direct way of asking this is:

Do the makers of the AmigaOne and OS4 have any big named software companies like Corel & Adobe(just to name two) to make serious software to help draw new peple to the platform? can you be specific?

sorry, I dont mean to sound superficial, but its the big guns that bring home the money.
There was a time I can remember computers were fun...I miss my A1200.

Don't worry, I can handle it :)

According to Meerschaum's definition, Apple OS 7.x up to 8.5 was in fact less than beta because it contained 68K code.

And what to think of Windows which contained 16 bit code on 32 bit systems?

All less than beta.
