Oh my goodness! Thank you so much Pgovotsos! I am beyond words!  ;D If you're saying that you will pay $275.00 then, if you have no objections, I am going to donate $75.00 of the money to the Red Cross of East Alabama to help those in need from the devastating tornadoes in Lee County yesterday. Deadly tornadoes are the scariest things ever. I lived through the Tornadoes that hit Shreveport / Bossier City in 1978. My trailer didn't...  :o I was 15 miles away at work at 2am. Whew! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1978_Bossier_City_tornado_outbreak

https://www.redcross.org/local/alabama/about-us/locations/east-alabama.html

Yes, I will send the Kitchen Sync hardware & manuals and the Magic Lantern S/W. I would also like to offer another one of the software packages (except ADPro or Millennium (Millennium has to go with the Toaster h/w) free for your generosity! Your choice!  We can work out details on PM. Again, thank you so much Pgovotsos!

Dang, sorry tonyvdb  :-[

I just wanted to make sure that @tonyvdb doesn't want it held. I certainly don't want to gazump someone else while they are in the middle of negotiating.

I'm willing to work it all out Bud! I'm scared of what I'm going to sell next.
I have these cars that I don't know what to do with.
They are worth a small fortune.
I still have 3 machines to sell but every time I play with them then I want to keep them. Arg.

Was busy today.... I received a 2012 i7 Mac Mini today. How come I just can't import all my "prefs" from my 2010??

Thanks for that. Very interested, I’ll PM you when i’m back from work!

Cheers,

Ant

Regarding the Mac. I usually clone my hard drive  or SSD onto a new drive and put that in the new Mac, upgrading to a newer macOS from that point. So i always end up with my very same account(s) on every machine.

For experiments i own an external Mypassport Go SSD (USB3), which holds several macOS versions to boot from(clones alltogether).

That’s a good idea too. However, I’m keeping my (late) 2010 machine in service. It has High Sierra and can’t be upgraded to Mojave. The 2012 machine came loaded with Mojave, which will able to be upgraded to Catalina this fall.

For experiments i own an external Mypassport Go SSD (USB3), which holds several macOS versions to boot from.

Sheesh, I keep forgetting that this is possible with Intel Macs. I have a USB3 128GB SSD that I think would work great for that purpose!

Also, I have two Tech Net license keys for Mac Office 2011. I used one on my 2010 (about 3 years ago) but can’t activate on the 2012. It doesn’t even seen possible to activate anymore without calling Microsoft. And even then the success rate is fairly small (according to Microsoft forum peeps). Can I just copy the MS Office folder from my 2010 and drop in the Apps folder on the 2012? Would it still think it’s activated?

Thanks for your input TribbleSmasher!   :D

I don't think it is that easy with MS Office. There are more places besides the App folder, like library/Application support, Frameworks etc.
And i am pretty sure they tied the unique hardware id to the installation. Well you can find solutions in the web i guess. :o

It is unimportant what version of macOS it runs. Clone your old partition to that new drive and  you are done.
All macOS upgrades are free. No need to preserve a preinstalled macOS.  ;)
