Hi all,
I have been playing around with NetBSD 6.0 on my Amiga4000. Unfortunately I seem to have hit a snag with my CV63D and this OS. Although NetBSD can get a display, it immediately goes into a kernel panic as soon as the kernel begins to boot.
I am using the standard kernel that comes with the install.
Has anyone managed to install NetBSD on a system with a CV643D.
For reference, the A4000 has an Apollo 4040, and X-Surf II. With AGA, the system booted up and installed fine. Good times :-)

I`ve had a 1.6 NetBSD installation with A4000 & CV-3D, no problems there regarding the console, I just had to edit a bit the screen modes for the X server.
Now regarding the 6.0, there seems to be a problem with Voodoo 3 in Prometheus (not supported yet), shouldn`t be your case. Anyhow, try to install the daily binary build (http:// http://nyftp.netbsd.org/pub/NetBSD-daily/HEAD/) of NetBSD/amiga .
