It seem that micro$oft is expected to recommend that the 'average' Longhorn PC feature a dual-core CPU running at 4 to 6 GHz; a minimum of 2 gigs of RAM; up to a terabyte of storage; a 1 Gbit, built-in, Ethernet-wired port and an 802.11g wireless link; and a graphics processor that runs three times faster than those on the market today...

Hum, i thought i could get away with my 2.8 athlon...oh well..

And pocketpc2003 already needs hardware that is equal or more powerful than Win3.1s hardware:-)

But i know i won´t use Windows Longhorn at home because the eula at that point will give ms the rigth to rectaly examine your pets and chemically analys your food to make sure you don´t pirate any of their software. And it will ship with the tools to do it:-)

I´m sure Aros tcp/ip will be finnished before Longhorn, I mean its atleast two years left.... :-D

Perhaps its a cunning bit of psychological manipulation.

1) Announce "fantastic" features

2) Take ages over ir

3) Reccommend a ludicrously high spec that's really way beyond what's needed

4) Release it

When all the 2GHz single CPU people find it runs fine they'll all go round saying how brilliant it is because it runs so well on their poor spec :lol:
