I expect we should be able to buy a copy around the time the Prisma Megamix is released.  2169.  :p

Yeah, Its a bit odd that Prisma havent been released yet. Trevor said on AmiWest that the hardware is already completed, but software is being developed/feature creep.

Novacoder released a youtube in March 6, 2014 with Prisma https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vup29ZUhMwA
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m_AmOFfaBIQ

I understand that AeonKit might be concerned about releasing a halfbaked driver/support software, but I think that releasing the hardware sooner than later would be prudent. It would give coders/hackers/developers time to muck about with their own solutions, while AeonKit can futher develop the driver/support software.

That said, would love a clockport expander to fit everything (USB and Prisma)...

I hope this will be released some day. We need some "collection" of software that can be actually USED....

why, there is a huge and growing collection of free software. it is called aminet. and also there is a number of packages available for download elsewhere.

Aminet is great that is for sure (as a library/collection), but AmiStore is really easy way to find software that is easy to install, use and PAY for it at the same time.

i have not been aware, that software from aminet is generally difficult to find and to install. one serious drawback is of course that there is usually no way to pay for it, as it is free.

It can be, when people don't include any documentation.  It's like "Look!  Here's a program!  Oh, you wanted a human-readable instruction manual, or maybe some description about WHAT THIS PROGRAM ACTUALLY DOES?  Yeah, sorry, nope."

Sorry, personal pet peeve about lack of proper documentation.

oh, thats awful. aminet is really not up to standards and needs to be closed down, to leave us solely with truly legitimate sites for "amiga" software.

Erm, what?  At the most Aminet could reject software if it doesn't have proper documentation, but asking for the entire service to be closed down because a couple of readmes are non-descriptive is a bit much.  I hope you were joking?

@ chris

pretty sure it was a tongue & cheek comment ;) Aminet closing would be more disastrous to Amiga users then the bankruptcy of Amiga in 94

Exactly. I got used to "installing" software by dropping icon into Application folder... installing most of Amiga software is a nightmare when you compare.

Oooo... There is "install" icon... lets click on it... "Folder this files are going to be copied is NOT going to be created". WTF. Where would you like to copy files "xfydgy.flx"? WTF2. "Handler" files will be copied to... Please select folder. WTF3...

So, AmigaStore creates some sort of standard how program SHOULD be delivered and I see this as a positive thing.

PS. Without Aminet... there is no Amiga.

Hopefully Aminet has many hands in it. It would be a disaster to have it disappear one day like Back to the Roots!
