AmigaKit Named As Primary Channel Distributor

London, 26th April 2010

A-EON technology has appointed UK-based AmigaKit, a premier Amiga retail and distribution company, as primary distributor for the upcoming AmigaOne X1000 computer through Amiga market hardware channels world-wide. AmigaKit will be handling all customer and dealer sales inquiries for the new AmigaOne X1000 hardware platform. Details will be available from AmigaKit in the near future.

A-EON director Trevor Dickinson said "We are very pleased to be able to announce this distribution deal with AmigaKit. They have attained a leading position and reputation over the years through diligent and dedicated service to the Amiga market, and we are confident that this partnership will ensure an excellent service to dealers and end users for sales and distribution of the upcoming AmigaOne X1000 computer." Matthew Leaman of AmigaKit added "We are equally pleased to be working with A-EON Technology on this exciting and innovative AmigaOne project"

+1

Congratulations Matthew on getting Worldwide distribution rights, not just the EU.  They could not have chosen a better Amiga dealer to promote the AmigaOne X1000, as you have an unrivaled reputation for excellent service and support.
How are you helping the Amiga community? :)

Congratulations AmigaKit, I also think it is well deserved indeed.

The one thing the Amiga platform does have in strength is good dealers.  Sure, we don't have many left anymore, but the ones that are left do a very good job.

I wouldn't have it any other way :)
If you could also get your hands on those new GVP Typhoon 030 turbo for the A1200 that would be great.

I'm sure they'll be happy with the extra 40 sales.  Nice one.

Being a little optimistic today, aren't you?    My guess would be closer to 12.

Yeah that's the spirit guys!  Every time something is announced, respond with a negative post...   THAT is a huge show of support and will undoubtedly aid the effort...

Well done!

I for one am really looking forward to this product and hopefully it'll come in at a reasonable price. Especially since that MacMini MorphOS deal fell through.

The MacMini MorphOS deal fell through? I thought the MorphOS guys (and girls?) were going to get some nice second hand Mac stuff to run their OS on? Is that not the case now?

No, that was a save2600 specific Mac Mini deal that fell through :) Irrelevant to other MorphOS users...

I'm getting a little excited about it. I'm happy I never bought any of the "newer" PPC Amigas.

I still say PPC is dead. And Amiga OS 4.x if you've used it is a snore. We will see, maybe some OS updates will accompany the hardware release...?
