Second batch of Minimig enclosures

Hi everyone,

I have been working on an updated version of the Minimig enclosure.

The slightly improved version offers:

Bigger holes for the Drive and Power LEDs, they are also covered with an acrylic window, this was difficult to implement but successful. The LEDs now shine through and are even more visible.

I have added two extra pillars (for use with first, shorter series of Minimig boards) and an extra security screw with fixing.

The Minimig logo is still available in decal form, red, black or silver.

(Forget about the boing ball, that is for personal use :-)  I am just giving you ideas in case you order a plain one)... :-)

I have ordered 50 enclosures (all glossy white), the first 20 have already been booked so, if you need one, email me (amigarulez@hotmail.com) and I will put one aside for you.


They all come with applied rubber feet, all the necessary screws and detailed instructions.

Although I had to pay the factory for the new CAD and extra prototype I am offering at a slightly reduced price of £65 (GBP) + p&p.

Just any generic USB mouse and keyboard...a word of warning, USB keyboards don't seem to work with the Minimig, even with the adaptor.

Do you mean a case for SAM?

I am working on it, this is why I have updated the Minimig enclosure and I am selling my Amiga gear on ebay, to raise money for the prototype.

The case looks great, can't wait to get mine (preordered). I haven't actually got the minimig itself yet, it's on order with Amigakit.

Any chance of a case for the Efika?  There's a lot of choice for SAM as it's a standard size but there's virtually nil choice for Efika. Also as the Efika doesn't have optical drives you wouldn't have to worry about providing bays. Just a thought...

I did think about the Efika but that means buying another motherboard, also I have no idea how many people have one and if they would buy it...

Ooops, didn't think of that!  You can borrow mine if you decide to do it.

Yeah tricky to know.  How many SAM owners do you think are interested?  I have to be honest I wouldn't be in the market for another case for mine. Then again if your design is as clean as the minimig one I might get tempted  :lol:
