ALAN REDHOUSE INTERVIEW AMIGA 2001, ST. LOUIS
« on: March 26, 2002, 02:50:59 AM »
Clearly, the recent Eyetech announcements have rendered obsolete much of the technical information on the Amiga One contained in this interview. (Even the picture of the board in the title graphic on this page is outdated!) On the other hand, the interview contains some interesting insights into the origin of and thinking behind the Amiga One project, and it may also give the reader some better sense of who Alan Redhouse is as a person. Speaking of which, I'll add here that I really enjoyed speaking with Alan and found him to be quite an impressive person. The Amiga community has its share of -- um -- "characters," to be sure. But Alan seems to combine both the heart of a genuine Amiga enthusiast with the sober realism of a pragmatic businessman. Additionally, he was unfailingly polite, and refrained from speaking ill even of past, failed attempts to move the Amiga platform forward. Then again, I may just be a naive American who is impressed by anybody with a British accent and a deep, resonant speaking voice. ;-)

This interview is published here with the kind permission of Mr. Alan Redhouse. Enjoy it! :-)
