Post by: MrZammler on November 07, 2002, 12:30:05 PM
There is a new mediator version out, which suits a desktop A4000. More info HERE (http://www.elbox.com/products/mediator_pci_4000di.html)

This is really great. What a nice news and once again. Elbox did a great job again. What will be the next step? Well... with this product, the Mediator sales numbers will increase a lot. Not all have the room or space to really get a tower for just PCI.

Thanks Elbox!

Well, that looks like it would also fit the A3000 desktop without any problems... Anyone know the answer to that?

AFAIK the A3000 and A4000 riser connectors are different and so this mediator is of absolutely no use to A3000 owners.

If I read well it says that it can fit in an ordinary A4000 desktop!!
This is great!!! One reason that I didn`t want to put mediator was that I had to change my Amiga case, which I like very very much!

ELBOX mailed me and told me that a similar version for the A3000 might come out, depending on the success of the Mediator 4000Di.

OK, so the Mediator board replaces the A4000D's stock daughterboard.  Does this mean you lose the video slot?

My A4000D hosts a Video Toaster/Flyer setup, so the original Amiga video slot is a must.

Yes. The version for towerized 4000D's has video slot, but not this one. You should really consider towering the 4000  ;-)

Too bad you won't be reading this cause the news item is now on page 2...
