Certainly is a cute little thing isn't it? Lacking on the PCI slots but I guess with everything on board that's okay. I like the replacable CPU...I don't like that they are making it super proprietary, but the idea is sound.
Hopefully Amiga, Eyetech and Hyperion can take a hint and learn this is a better way to show off your product...lots of pics from multiple angles. How long would it take to take them? A whole few minutes? :-P

The problem is that there is no standard ;( But
on the other hand maybe if there is enough
demand for a cpu zif carrier card then they
might sell one. Maybe you should contact Salva
about it: sf@bplan-gmbh.de
Or maybe ask someone at Vesalia about it. They
are the distributor.
However the newer processors are not available as ZIF modules ;(

Don`t like the way the IDE connectors are bunched up at the top , gonna cause cable jam in mini/midi cases . Also why did they put the Audio headers that side of the CPU module , ur gonna have ur cd audio leads sprawling over the cpu :( . ATX power header could have been on the IDE connector edge so the power cable is nicely fitted.
It is nice and small tho, I usually like my boards to be full ATX length to get everything plugged in nicely and have good air flow. but i also like them and small as possible keyboard connector to bay width which also allows for good cable fiting and good air flow. Spose its from OEMs tho so the smaller the better in any direction.
I just hope meatier PPC`s arent`t going to need a fan hehe

Can anyone put names to the connectors at the rear?
The RS-Telephone type must be Networking.
Are the two round ones (like S-Video) left of that USB?
What of the Three RCA-looking types on extreme left (viewed from the back)?

What exactly is the front pannel connector? (the led's etc.....)
I like the three fire wire ports. I don't remember seeing firewire on Eytech's board.
I like the micro ATX size could fit into a compact case. will need lots of air though.
Was that X86 slot 1 or A for processor slot. Why not PPC? or is it?

? I don't understand your question. The Pegasos is PowerPC mainboard with a CPU slot for PowerPC processors...

The slot 1/A may be of the same type found on the x86, but is uses a proprietary CPU board in the slot, which houses a PPC obviously. Looking at this raised a question to me....on the pic of the latest A1.5 design, is there a way to attach a heatsync and fan? Or what? I didn't see anything around the CPU to suggest, but then again I am coming from working on many x86's and PPC is new to me.

I was wondering about the proprietary CPU holder. I guess any CPU upgrade will come directly from them. Good way of solving the form factor problem of G3 vs G4.
The G3 isn't supose to need a cooler. It'll be nice to have a quiet computer again.
