Another modification to the A4000D power supply
Another modification to the A4000D power supply
Previous Image | Next Image
Description: Here is a picture showing how the power supply looks from the inside the case after modification. I have removed the original fanguard and extended the hole to optimal size to allow more air to pass. I will at some point mount a metalthread fanguard for security. This picture is a bit old, now the original fan which is pictured here (crap) is replaced with better and silent fan.

The A4000 Power supply had totaly different colous for the wires then what is standard. My original A4000D PS was the same.
The A4000 PS fan was installed backward on some and caused many to overheat and fail prematurly.
The entire A4000 case was pooly designed for airflow thats why so many of us with them have put them in Tower cases.

@grafias79:

Hihi, yeah, someone must have slipped when typing the label ;=). The company who manufactured the powersupply spells their name "Skynet", so the logo on the label is right, but not the "Skyent" part :D.

What seems strange and I can't believe it caught my eye, but if you look on the bottom of the yellow label where it says Skyent, the logo spells Skynet.
