Jockey denies race-fixing
« on: March 09, 2004, 04:00:03 PM »
Does anyone think the Jockey Sean Fox is guilty of Race-Fixing? I think he is, as I saw a clip on the news earlier today and he jumped off the horse. If you don't know what I'm talking about, here's acouple of reports...

He said that he 'fell off' the horse because his left foot lost the stirrup.

From my own viewing of this, I'd say he definitely jumped off to the left of the horse. He actually uses his left foot, clearly in the stirrup, as his springboard. He swings his right leg over the horse's back before springing clear. After landing on the grass, he appears to collapse into a huddle.

As an accident, it look's very unconvincing.

I agree - lets hope he's a better jockey than actor !!

But at least he got a 21 day ban for his actions.

It seems racing is having a real bad time at the moment - but I guess at least it might boost interest in a flagging sport.

I agree with JaX, but I feel that when Kieran Fallon did it, it was definitely an accident.
