No one is interested in developing newer hardware.  I've tried and tried to interest you all.

Now there is Gameduino 2.  The graphics speak for themselves.
This project is open source.  Imagine it as a graphics engine for an Amiga.
I know.  No one is interested.

It's very nice, on its own (well, with an Arduino).

There's nothing to be gained by adding it to the classic Amigas - it's entirely different hardware.  Might as well stick to the RTG solutions for that - at least they're supported.

I've been waiting and what is currently available is based on dead hardware.
New hardware is possible but I don't expect to see much available from Amiga Inc. nor do I believe that they are in a position to do much without a bankroll of money and who is going to lend them a million dollars or more?
New hardware is better than machines that are going to break down because the old hardware is 20 years old or more.

FPGA 68k hardware is where it's at now Chuck.

The source code to everything is Free & Open Source and can be improved and extended beyond the capabilities of any genuine Amiga hardware from Commodore.

Check out the FPGA Replay board.  Already it has a few features the real hardware didn't have and there is nothing stopping people with the necessary skills creating even more features over time.

It is a nice computer.

Can it display 2,001 sprites like the Gameduino 2?

Nothing stopping you from adding the required functionality to the FPGA logic.
