Title: Retro computers in media
Post by: pyrre on July 09, 2017, 01:10:05 AM
I did not find the old thread about spotting retro computers in media.

So here comes a new thread and a new spotting.

Me and a friend were enjoying John Wick second chapter.
When all of a sudden, like lightning from a clear sky.....

I spot a VIC 20, being used by the underground hitman cartel...

(i hope posting a picture from the movie does not violate any copyrights.)
(i do do own a BD copy of the movie, though)

SPOILER ALLERT:
Picture is picked up at the point where Mr Wick receives a hit on his back....
They use the vic 20 to generate emails or messages outgoing to all hitmans in the area.
Some sort of network i guess. looks cool anyways.

I haven't seen this movie. Do the events take place during the VIC-20 era? Or is this a creative anachronism on the part of the filmmakers?

Thanks for sharing!
