Hi,
Hey gizmo350, just one HV hit, that is all it took. Well back in my day when TV's still had tubes (you know those glass things that looked like light bulbs but just turned bright orange or a very deep red if you overdrove them in a linear amplifier) me and dad started a TV repair shop, well one day when I was really being annoying to him, I had to go and make a restroom run, well dad decided to run a couple of small wires from the HV section of the TV he was working on to my chair, he took the wire a carefully put it through the cloth all around my chair. When I got back and sat down, he turned on his TV which immediately made me jump and scream, he then turned off the TV and turned and said what happened, I said the chair bit me, he said yeah right, I carefully felt the chair with my hands, and nothing, so I thought it was my immagination. So I sat back down again, and began troubleshooting the TV I was working on, dad turned back on his TV and ouch again. I began looking at that chair like it was a demon, dad had turned off his TV so when I examined the chair again nothing. So I sat down and nothing so I began troubleshooting my TV again, and explained to dad that I think high voltage is somehow running through my chair. Dad turns on his TV again, and zap again, but I noticed it this time, and said everytime you turn on your TV I get zapped, he was trying to hold a straight face, but couldn't, and said go ahead and bother me somemore. He then showed me the wires and how he ran them, then spent an hour laughing about it.
Well not to be out done, when he stood up and looked at his TV, I accidentally put a hot soldering iron on his chair, you should of seen the look on his face when he sat down.
Payback is a MF (much fun) as we say.
