Large screen with AOS4?
« on: April 14, 2010, 08:42:15 AM »
Hello. Is it possible to have a larger screen than the screen resolution in workbench with amigsos4? I used it on my old Amiga, nice to have many windows open at once without any overlaps, it was only to move the pointer across the screen. It is perhaps not so important now that we have such high resolutions, but anyway just wondering.

Hope so, it's a great  advantage if you want to run many applications or windows simultaneously on the  same screen. But as I said, it's not 1024x768 anymore. I see Blender is available then:)

Yeah, OS4 supports large screens with autoscroll. I don't use it myself, but i know others do and it works just the same as it always did.

It works fine on OS3.x with CGX4 too. The limit to the size of the desktop is determined by maximum surface size the graphics hardware will allow. For example, my BVision will allow screens no wider or taller than 2048 pixels.
