I decided with all the work I have been doing it was my turn to treat myself. I spent the past weekend building my own personal A4000 Replica Project Board from the ground up, with all new parts. I am so proud to have made these possible. This one will be my new demo board I bring to shows when I talk more about my projects. You can check out the full blog post here: https://acillclassics.wordpress.com/2019/10/29/say-hello-to-the-newest-amiga-4000-on-the-planet-for-now/ (https://acillclassics.files.wordpress.com/2019/10/20191029_193255.jpg?w=1400&h=)

Meh... I've seen better.
Just pulling your chain, Paul. It looks great, as usual.
-
Thanks Kirk, I am quite happy with this one.
-
Priceless! Not long ago I never would have thought there will be new A4000 boards produced...
Congratulations!

Amazing Work!
just out of interest, is this a direct translation or have you taken the opportunity to bake any modifications directly into the board?
-
Soooo, When will these be available for purchase? (I mean complete and ready to drop into a case?)
;D

@darksun9210
If he'd wanted to make 'improvements' then he'd have recreated an A4000T board! ;D

Its mostly the direct one I did and you see floating around. I had a few things cleaned up and improved, but for the most part its a clone of the last revision before the CR came out. Someone else did the CR model, I preferred this one and is why I did them. I have my project posted on github and its linked on my web site.

@BozzerBigD lol, yeah though i always thought the A4kT was a bit of an empty case beast for only one extra zorro and video slot. if only ATX had come along quicker instead of the AT style it was built on, we could have had a few more usefull slots than loosing a couple of back plate spaces to host the usual amiga AV and IO.
that being said, i still think selling my A4kT was one of the dumbest decisions of my life. but i know she went to a good home.
I was thinking improvements like the 64meg ram hack - but that needs new reprogrammed GALs, so it's beyond my skills of sticking in patch lines made from paperclips and stripped speaker wire with bits of chewing gum. ;D
@Acill She looks great! and i hope you get a good many years use :)

Fantastic work! That board looks absolutely great.
Cheers,

It looks fantastic! I wish I had the skills to put one of these together.
-
She is a real beauty Acill. Better than anything Commodore produced.
Show some close up of your solder joints.
-
Thats an awesome job on this, is it fully functional as it sits?
-
I like it. Great job.!
