I've been reading the interviews and actually strengthening my opinion on Barry.

Is he rebuilding Commodore? 25% of it yes! You do remember that is it's last and desperate years Commodore released Win-Tel machines. So yup.. he is rebuilding the desperation years of Commodore.

Is he rebuilding the c64? ok I can eat that one (but I'll have to use some sauce to swallow) the c64 was good and today hardware/software is too.

Is he rebuilding the Amiga? No! Did he actually understood the Amiga good enough to rebuild-it someday? No, don't think so.

This is sad. The Amiga kicked the computer renaissance era (and a lot of kid's minds with it), It was 10 to 15 years ahead of most competitors. It was not born as Commodore Amiga...it was brought by Commodore and it was an "orange" that was "squeezed" for years with little development (investment) on top... and it still managed to pull Commodore on it's back up until the mid 90's.
Some blame the excessively upgrade-ability of the platform and the excessive hardware after-market mods for Commodore's drop in sales...if this was so, why then did the A1200 and A4000 (last leap of improvement) sell? Commodore killed the Amiga because it got greedy and decided to invest little on the development of the BASE PLATFORM, totally opposite to the original Amiga team.
Everyone else that grabbed the Commodore brand did the same. They just tried the "last squeeze on the magic perpetual orange".
This guy is no different. He is just using the name and calling back on the "historic greatness" of the Amiga, but in the end he is no more than a Wintel salesman.

I guess that if you really want a new Amiga, you have to find out a way to get rich first, and then fund your own hardware and software development (without caring about the windows users out there, as it's obvious that they need RE-EDUCATION on computing capabilities).

This was something that enervated me in the first interviews. "We don't use the Amiga windows manages as it is too primitive compared to today windows managers... ...and it seem that most Amiga users have a different view of things".
We don't have a different view of things!!! We have THE view of things! Or do you think that the "Pimping-up master of windows managers" Microsoft is reverting to plain squares with simple icons on EVERY O.S. they build because it's cool!? They need to simplify simple things instead of blowing resources away on stupid things the uses only looks into for the first hour. From that first glimpse of the O.S. onwards, the game is not "how beautiful and pimped it is", but rather "I need to make money from this to pay for the excessive licensing".
What\'s on my mind? THIS

Have: A500b, A500+(2mb chip ram), A1200 Tower, A4000/030 w/68882

Had: A500a, A600, A2000, A2500, A1200
