Yes, it's down. But not permanently.

It was having problems like that earlier. The admin isn't around at the moment, I'm sure he'll fix it when he is.

Well, if it's a hosting issue, I'd be happy to offer him some space on the Amiga.org server.

@Wayne

The last times the same thing happened, it was an SQL issue. But I'm sure the admin will be flattered by your offer. :) When he appears, that is.

Sadly, it was punted out of this world because it was filled with too much humor and satire    ;-)

Well, it's a rather long story. To cut it short: Wrong Pla.net wasn't actually ready for the big audience when it became public, because it was running (and still is) on the development machine. That's why it had some problems in the first day or two.

The reason why it wasn't available today for ~2 hours was the change of my IP which unfortunately happens irregular for my home-account  ;-)

It's all back up and running fine now  8-)

@Wayne

Thank you for the offer but once we move to the "real" webspace there shouldn't arise such downtimes anymore  :-D

uhm, as the other thread was closed I just continue posting here... (and for continuities sake I quote the full text from bbrv, hope that's ok)

@bbrv

@todi, no, but if you allow us to write a special column from time to time it would be really great!

Could we call it, "Ask bbrv" ?!?!

Here is our welcome speech ready to go!

"Before getting down to the questions, we would like to thank WrongPla.net for suggesting this service and putting it all together for the community. Whilst we will try to answer as fully as we can, it does need to be understood that Genesi is a company and that there are many things we cannot reveal or talk about. This is not a deliberate attempt to castrate (thinking of changing this one after the Pegasos Man episode! ) this service before it even starts but the business world is a lawyer's world and we have to abide by it."

Now doesn't that sound REALLY like it is from the WRONG PLANET?!?!?!... errr, WRONG WORLD that is!!!

Huh, todi? What do you think!

Oh! One more thing...could we subtitle it "Fortnightly Q&A's" -- it just sounds sooooo cooool ?!?!?!

Thanks todi for considering the column !!!

We have all the material we will ever need from WrongWorld and it is already there and ready to goooooo!

Great idea! We want to do this! :-)

Are you going to take real questions? :-o

We are making some changes to the website this weekend. We'll come back to you after that.

bb Ecstatic OVER Opportunity!!!
rv somewhat concerned.... :huh:

WrongPla.net (amiga.org) -- With the unbridled enthusiasm of an eight year old Bill Buck accepted the opportunity to join WrongPla.net as a GUEST Columnist today.  Cart-wheeling across the beach, Bill said, "to be able to respond to real questions with bogus answers is a dream for me!"  :-)

Raquel needed fifteen minutes to restrain Bill.  He was later sedated with margaritas.

 RV, I can lend you a large transformer and some electrodes, you`ll find them much more effective  :evil:
It also means Bill stays sober, so he can solder more Peg II`s together  ;-)
BTW, any chance he can make me one before Xmas??
On schedule, and suing
