Description: A screenshot of Workbench 3.1 running on WinUAE 2.3.0 with AGA emulation. It is beaultiful on a CRT TV. I love WinUAE's AGA support! I pratically never used it's support for Picasso96... Leandro Jardim Posts:0 | February 15, 2011, 08:00:42 PM Yes, I realise, Picasso96 adds a new dimension to the Workbench, but for blazingly fast chunky graphics I have Windows 7, I must admit... Picasso96 transforms the system in a very different thing than the original Amiga engineers designed. And I like the retro feel of the AGA emulation drawing the windows, planar screens and buttons... At the 90 decade it seemed blazingly fast for everyone. And I like also to see the hard work of WinUAE to draw all that, synchronize graphics, sound, input... Rettargetting the display directly to the Windows video driver with Picasso96 is not the same thing as true emulation. UAE has a very powerful graphics engine but this is not an easy task for any program. Thats because I use WinUAE without Picasso96 emulation. |
