(RFD) Are Social Groups working?

Is it possible for social group posts to appear in the 'recent posts' block. If so I think that would boost their popularity many fold.

That's part of the problem, and the reason I suggested to turn them into forums.  Social Groups (the module) aren't really treated like forums, so can't show up in that type list (new posts).  There is a social groups block on the main forum page, but apparently no one has ever thought about a "Recent" block.
