A4000D & Amigakit's 4-Way IDE Issue
« on: November 12, 2015, 06:16:37 PM »
A couple years ago I bought an Amigakit 4-way IDE adaptor http://amigakit.leamancomputing.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=42&products_id=599.

I've never really tested it, just as much as IDE0 has my CF/IDE adaptor and IDE1 runs my CD-ROM. But recently I've thought about setting up a HDD & CF/IDE on IDE0 and CD / Zip on IDE1. Both the original HDD and Zip work on the Amiga but not at the same time with the other device. I've mucked about with the jumpers Master/Slave & Cable Select.

I have CF card's with ClassicWB 3.1, 3.5 and 3.9 to test, all have a registered version of IDEFix installed.

There is one option in IDEFix about selecting the IDE adaptor but I'm scared to change it - there are two to choose from.

Any help would be great.

I also had the same problem.

CF IDE adapters doest work well together with HD.

I have a Tandem CD controller, but I think this configuration should work:

HD and ZIP drive on  IDE port 1 and on channel 2 the CF IDE adapter on master and CD as slave.

I also use IDEFIX.
