Is it possible to save Memory by not booting into Work Bench?

Yes, some games like a Pinball which I can't remember the title ran only like that.
I used to boot with no startup-sequence and navigate to the game dir via CLI.
Also booting to WB like this saves you memory by typing loadwb, (followed by endcli).
Some thing will not work though.

I noticed that some apps. are command line. I am not for sure if they still need WB.

I think of Programs like The Director which is a text based AV editor.
